Nourishing Your Frenchie from the Inside Out

I started cooking for my Frenchies because of their sensitive stomachs and my desire to help them live long, healthy lives. Over time, I’ve seen the difference fresh, wholesome food makes — from better digestion to stronger bones, healthier joints, and shinier coats.

At Frenchie Frenzy KC, we believe caring for our French Bulldogs means going beyond cuddles — it’s about giving them the healthiest, happiest life possible. One of the ways we do that is through homemade dog food, made with real ingredients you can trust and plenty of love.

Whether you’re supplementing your Frenchie’s meals or preparing full homemade batches, feeding fresh can make a world of difference in their health, energy, and longevity.

🍽️ Why Go Homemade?

French Bulldogs often have sensitive stomachs, allergies, and food intolerances, so knowing exactly what’s in their bowl helps prevent digestive issues and skin problems.

Homemade meals allow you to:

  • Control the quality and freshness of every ingredient

  • Avoid fillers, preservatives, and artificial additives

  • Support joint and bone health through nutrient-rich, anti-inflammatory foods

  • Adjust recipes for your dog’s unique dietary needs

Your Frenchie will thank you with better energy, softer fur, and fewer tummy troubles!

🥦 Frenchie Frenzy KC’s Favorite Recipe

Here’s one of our tried-and-true homemade meals that keeps our pups healthy and happy:

🐾 Turkey, Sweet Potato & Quinoa Frenchie Feast

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey (cooked)

  • 1 cup quinoa (cooked)

  • ½ cup green beans

  • ½ cup spinach or kale (optional)

  • ¼ cup fresh blueberries

  • 1–2 eggs, lightly scrambled or hard-boiled

  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts or ground flaxseed

  • 1 tsp MCT oil

  • Sprinkle of turmeric (with a pinch of black pepper for better absorption)

  • Dash of ginger for digestion and immune support

Directions:

  1. Cook the turkey thoroughly in a skillet until no pink remains.

  2. Steam or boil the veggies until tender.

  3. Cook and scramble the eggs (or boil and chop) before mixing them in.

  4. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mixing fruits, grains, and proteins evenly.

  5. Let cool completely before serving.

  6. Portion into containers and refrigerate (or freeze) for easy meal prep.

Optional Add-Ins:

  • A spoonful of pumpkin puree for added fiber and digestive health.

  • A scoop of Native Vitamins for balanced daily nutrition, coat health, and joint support.

⚖️ Portion & Balance Tips

  • Feed about 2–3% of your dog’s body weight daily, divided into two meals.

  • Always consult your veterinarian before switching diets, especially for puppies or dogs with health conditions.

  • Add a complete vitamin or calcium supplement to maintain nutritional balance.

💖 Why We Love It

We’ve seen firsthand how feeding fresh, clean food helps our Frenchies shine — from glowing coats and strong joints to fewer allergies and more energy. It’s one of the best ways to give back to the dogs who give us so much love.

✝️ Faith, Family, and Frenchies

We believe every Frenchie deserves the best — inside and out. Cooking their meals with care reminds us that love isn’t just shown through words, but through actions. Caring for God’s creatures is one of the simplest ways to give thanks for the joy they bring into our lives.
